FFL Transfer

Please fill out your information below to receive a copy of our FFL.

Before initiating the transfer process, it’s essential to get in touch with Pryor Guns to inform them about your intention to transfer a firearm. You can reach out to them via phone +1 (719) 469-0217 or email [email protected] to discuss the details of the transfer and any specific requirements they may have.

Step 2: Gather Required Information.

To facilitate the transfer process, we will need to gather some essential information, including:

    • Your personal details (name, address, contact information)

    • Details of the firearm you intend to transfer (make, model, serial number)

    • Any pertinent documentation related to the firearm (purchase receipt, ownership documents)

Having this information readily available will streamline the transfer process and ensure everything moves smoothly.

Step 3: Arrange for Firearm Shipment

Once you’ve coordinated with Pryor Guns and gathered all the necessary information, you’ll need to arrange for the shipment of the firearm to their location. Ensure that you comply with all federal and state laws regarding the shipping of firearms to avoid any legal complications.

Step 4: Visit Pryor Guns  for Background Check

Once the firearm has been delivered to our location, you will need to visit Pryor Guns to complete the transfer process.

Transfer Fees:

  • Transferred Firearms: $50.00 (Includes transfer fee and CBI background check fee).

  • In-Store Purchases: $30.00 (Includes transfer fee and CBI background check fee).

Please note: All fees are due at the time the paperwork is started.

During your visit, you will undergo the required background check as per Pryor Guns state law. Once the background check is completed, and all necessary paperwork is processed, the firearm will be transferred to you legally.

Step 5: Mandatory 3-Day Waiting Period

In accordance with Colorado State Law, there is a mandatory 3-day (72-hour) waiting period for all firearm transfers. This “cooling-off” period begins as soon as the background check is submitted to the CBI (Colorado Bureau of Investigation) and the initial paperwork is processed.

Step 6: Take Possession of the Firearm

Once the 72-hour waiting period has passed and your background check has been officially approved, you may return to Pryor Guns to take possession of your firearm.

If your background check is delayed for any reason, we will notify you immediately once we receive the final “Approval” status so you can schedule your pickup.
